Water Supply
Implementation of projects included master planning and assessment, rehabilitation of exiting water networks, building of new water distribution networks which have contributed to secure clean water and reduce loss through detection of leakages. This has been achieved through its dedicated staff and knowledgeable engineers who have expertise to carry out projects in most efficient ways thus making KWE a company a confident and trusted partner in this sector.
In brief the areas of expertise in water sector include, master planning, surveys and assessment, water supply networks, drills and building of wells, pumping and construction machinery, commissioning works, loss detection and leakage detection and metering. Additionally, KWE offers consulting services to the water sector with water management and remediation interventions.
Major projects include:
- Prishtina: Rehabilitation of primary and secondary network and installation of house connections: 35 km distance, OD 32 – OD 315 mm; 900 house connections; supply and installation of 20.300 individual and bulk water meters. Supply, installation of water meter test benches.
- Mitrovica and Vushtri: Rehabilitation of primary and secondary network and installation of house connections: 22 km distance, OD 32-OD 600 mm; 4500 house connections; Rehabilitation of pumping station, supply and Installation of multistage high-pressure pumps 504 m3/h etc.
- Gjakova: Installation of new water supply network, construction of reservoirs, distribution chambers as well as pumping station, supply with centrifugal pressure pumps.: 27.5 km distance OD 40-OD 400 mm.
- Prizren: Rehabilitation of primary and secondary network and installation of house connections and construction of new reservoirs.
- Peja: Rehabilitation of pumping station and supply with multistage pressure pumps Continuous supply with
water supply fittings and armature.
